1 masha coin (or 1/4 karshapana) = 8 ratti (smallest unit in IVC)

1/2 karshapana coin = 16 ratti

1 karshapana coin = 32 ratti

the same is true for the indus weights

smallest weight = 8 ratti

the multiples of this unit is 1:2:4:8:16:32

either it was adopted through out india or it was already present cannot be known, but it is atleast known that ratti, its binary weights etc were present long after IVC collapsed.
