Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur has been ranked as the
top institution in India by QS Employability Ranking for the year 2017. This is the second consecutive year that the country's oldest technology school has bagged the award. It has featured in the range 81-90, which is the highest rank among Indian institutions. Three hundred universities from across the world had participated in the exercise.
IIT-Kgp is the only Indian institution in the top 100. The institute, which gives degree to nearly 2500 students each year, maintains a successful track record of placement for students from the graduating batches enrolling for campus placement.
The top three universities ranked globally are Stanford University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Tsinghua University. IIT-Kharagpur has been ranked among the peers such as University of Warwick, University of Calgary, University of Washington and others.
IIT-Kharagpur has done exceptionally well in the parameters such as partnerships with employers and employer-student connections. IIT-Kgp has given particular emphasis on nurturing the employer-student relationship through special internship and corporate relations programmes. The institute has modified the academic curricula to accommodate project based-learning which gives exposure to industry needs and problem solving attitude. This adds value to the overall aptitude and performance of the students in the process of recruitment. Additionally, research output of the institute has made it a preferred destination for industry-oriented research not just for corporate houses but also for graduates who look forward to enriching their research experience.
The other Indian institutions among the top 200 are IIT-Bombay, IIT-Delhi, IIT-Madras, IIT-Kanpur and University of Delhi.
"The recruitment process has been streamlined over the years. The alumni has played a crucial role who like our ambassadors are spread across several global and national companies. As a result, the recruiters know the value of IIT-Kharagpur graduates. These all combined have played a great factor is achieving the ranking," said Debashis Deb, placement chairperson at IIT-Kharagpur.

Probably the most over hyped Universities in the world. The universities which have not produced a single nobel prize winner and have negligible contribution in indigenous R&D. The brightest in the IITs are products of coaching institutes and most of them end up as marketing managers after MBA or are UPSC aspirants.

This article is very nice and a tad out of context without the full list.
Here are nations ( from which schools are ) by order of appearance :

1- US
3- China
4- Australia
6- France
8- UK
16- Switzerland
18- Hong Kong
19- Canada
20- Germany ( ex aequo )
21- Singapore
26- Japan
37- Italy
40- Mexico ( ex aequo )
40- Sweden ( ex aequo )
45- Chile
47- Netherlands
49- Korea

then Belgium ( 51-60 tier ), Taïwan and Spain ( 61-70 tier ),
Ireland & Bolivia ( 71-80 tier) and Denmark and Lebanon in
that same 81-90 tier as India with the Kharagpur ITT.
With Bharat's addition, we have but 25 countries only listed.

[ India gets 3 in a row later BTW : Bombay, Delhi, Madras ITTs = 108-110. ]

Add. context is that the US of course dominates with repeat
spots galore whereas some appear but once; no such rankings
are perfect ( impossible to do on a mere 5 criteria ), showing
some preference or another; and finally that it is not quite the
quality of education that is being evaluated here but how your
diploma is perceived which are very different style.

Ideally, we'd have one thread only for U rankings and collate
infos and such reports to discuss an average of our own.

As for Pakistani schools, LUMS and NUST come in at 111-112
in the Asian region listing ( roughly 250-300+ overall ) which is
coherent as its education system is not geared towards the
international job market.
China, Hong Kong, SouthK and Japan dominate the Asian list
with Taïwan & Singapore getting very nice spots.

Great day all, Tay.

Here's the whole list for details :
