IIFA Dumps Amitabh Bachchan!

^^ It was sort of boring actually.

@Jayron Would you heed to sentiments of your own countrymen or of some other people? Tamils protested because in their opinion there were grave human right violations against srilankan tamils. But definitely not in support of LTTE. And having Indian film festival there immediately after war is actually in bad taste. No matter what you think there are sentiments involved at least in Tamilnadu. Other parts of our country may not relate to this but we shouldn't ignore the sentiments of our own men. Just because you don't understand it doesn't make it less of an issue. Any neglect on our part would result in resentment and unrest.

SL have come out of a brutal episode of Indian Tamil sponsored terror... Its stabilizing at a rapid pace given the extent of damage caused.

That is no reason to support a cause against the entity that is SL - which what Amitabh did, which is what the Tamils forced him into - which is lame, whiny - a tantrum at best.

You clearly don't know what they are protesting for. Please educate yourself on exactly what they fighting against. They are protesting for human right violations against Srilankan Tamils during the war but not in support of LTTE. India opposed UN enquiry into human right violations after the war. I would think that's the reason why major powers in West didn't press for it. If not for India Srilanka would have been in economic sanctions by now. I think they have already given up on GSP+ status in europe because of this.

The Indian Tamils have never really helped the Lankan Tamils. If anything, we have contributed to their woes. What ever military operation happened in SL to eliminate LTTE happened with the full support of the Indian government. Then why this two face?
That country just defeated one of the most dangerous terrorist organizations in the world and it was a big moment for them. We the Indian Tamils should have seized the opportunity to reconcile and mend the relationship with the SL govt rather than being petty . Indian Tamils having a cordial relationship with the SL government would be a lot more helpful to the Lankan Tamils than treating them like our sworn enemy.

Only thing I can think of is Indian Tamils are thinking with their heart and central government with their mind. Indian Tamils have sentiments involved which the central government cannot comprehend.

Regarding the bold part, its absolute BS. How can speaking against human right violations be petty for anyone. Again they are not protesting for separate country for Tamils or in support of LTTE. They are asking for decent treatment of Tamils in Srilanka. Thats not petty in any sense of the word.

I can definitely see that you cannot relate to this issue. But what'll ask is at least respect others sentiments.
