tomato is available through out the year, there is no perticular season for tomato esp in a hot climatic country such as pakistan

But how do we know there is actually a genuine shortage of tomatoes? I might be wrong in this case, but monopolising policies and artificial scarcity are common practices in rising Asian economies. How do we know that millions of Pakistani citizens (especially the ones below the poverty line) aren't paying extra for the tomatoes just because of the greed and avarice of a bunch of corrupt middle-men, distributors and industrialists?
