I like to ask those thought provoking questions that get me banned here at times
. I try to do it in a manner that is decent....( full disclosure: I'm an atheist, so this is not about one religion over another)
I've been seeing the rise of fanatical Muslims here, each falling over the other to show how the levels of their extremist ideas and support, somehow equates them to be more closer and in more love with their prophet.
So, last few days I was wondering, after seeing the great support for lashing a man 500 times for speaking ill about Islam or its saints and prophets...
What would their prophet do if he as alive today?
There is a very famous fable of sorts in Islam that fundamentalist or non like to cite about their prophet: It goes somewhat like this-
There used to be a Jewish women who used to bring her garbage and dump it in front of their prophets house everyday, to show her disdain for him and his religion. One day, she did not stop by and dump her garbage in front of his house. The prophet was perplexed by this and decided to go to her house to see ' OUT OF concern', to see if she was okay- when he reached there he found out she was un-well that day".
Now my recollection of exactly what the fable says is not that good, but essentially it was said she inquired why he came there and he said he was worried for her well being. i.e. He showed love for his hater!
If the prophet was alive today, he would arrive upon that women's house that used to throw garbage at him everyday, to show his love over her hatred, to find her beheaded by these fanatic lot .
Think about it for a second... you guys are doing the opposite of what your prophets action were. how do support death, beating or any punishment for blasphemy - a MAN made law in DIRECT contradiction to your Prophets actions.
I dare say you are not a true Muslim if you are for ANY blasphemy laws, advocate violence against people you draw cartoons or whatever acts you deemed to be blasphemous OR SECTS you deem not be true Muslims.
