By "America's war", I meant the war on radical Islamists, not the (geopolitical) war in Afghanistan. Radical Islamists are a cancer to any society and have nothing to do with Islam. Incidents like this shooting should make it clear to anyone who is still confused.

Pakistan has limited resources: it cannot take on the TTP and the Afghan Taliban at once. It needs to prioritize and target the elements who pose the greatest threat to Pakistani security, which is the TTP not the Afghan Taliban. This is not a question of good or bad Taliban, but a matter of priority. NATO rarely goes after the TTP, focusing instead on its major foe; Pakistan should focus its energies likewise.

First things first, i wish the girl a speedy recovery. This savage attack on her may as well serve a small pebble that start an avalanche. we have all heard the tall claims of how the Pakistani nation is honorable an gairatmand and what not. I think while this act is extremely reprehensible, but by taking this bullet, this brave little girl has done more for Pakistan's anti extremism drive than probably any other law enforcement agency till date.. Now a $hit load of Pakistanis who used to get swayed by the extremist jingoism and used to justify religious extremism propagated by the likes of Taliban and other militant groups, will be too embarrassed to do so now...Every cloud has a silver lining..
