Indian contribution to software development in the US is mainly low level because India's best talent (who have studied at institutions like IIT) usually doesn't leave India, they get plum management jobs in India itself.

The appropriate description for transplants in US/EU is IT laborers and IT coolies. They have no "talent" to speak of and are mainly order takers.

India has been a stratified society for eons and the lower class is truly low. Much lower than any other country, mainly in attitudes and behavior. 700 years of Mughal rule and two hundred years of British rule changed nothing.

They will go to VISA temples and beg for a US Visa acting all humble.

But when they get to the US, they will reveal their true communal fascist self and start jumping up and down about India being "SUPA PAWA" and being this or that in the world (including software jobs which they got by begging Americans and EU folks, being least cost bidders).

What you have in the US is third-rate Indian underachievers from uneducated families who maybe passed a four month Software Quality Assurance course and deem themselves "IT experts".

They are the butt of many jokes in all immigrant communities.

The reason these people are Sanghis and Modi-supporters is because they are mainly low class people.

Every software has faults (unknown faults called "zero day" which are used by hackers) or backdoors intentionally left by software developers for maintenance purposes, which is sometimes publicized and sometimes not. These faults are always used to "hack" software (in this case Android and iOS) to breach their security defenses.

There are companies whose job it is to find these faults and sell this information to software companies like Google and Microsoft so they can issue patches against these faults. And some software companies like who make the Israeli Pegasus unethically use this capability to thwart Android and iOS security defenses and market it to Govts.

The staff who make Pegasus do not have to be "really really good". They just have to be unethical to market these software to govts. who are willing to use it to neutralize opposition by hacking opposition and journalists' cellphones (like they do in Bangladesh and India).
