What is the purpose of creating an entire thread based on some anonymous Indian troll and his absurd ramblings?
Everyone remotely familiar with the GCC knows that troublesome Indians, and any other expats for that matter, can be fined heavily, jailed, deported within seconds or in a worst case scenario executed depending on the crime that they have committed.
Everyone remotely familiar with the GCC also knows that trolls like that (most likely based in India) would not dare to even raise their hand against a local in the real world.
Hate speech against Islam, Muslims, Arabs or whatever is not allowed and has been, is and will be punished with an iron fist.
Expats who spit in the same bowl that they eat from, should be dealt with, with an iron fist, in particular those insulting Arabs, Islam and Muslims etc.
However in the real world country to country relations are not determined by some nobodies (anonymous) and their Twitter ramblings. If that was the case, we would have had a 1001 World War courtesy of PDF already.
We all know that such Indians (your average slum dog) has no chance of ever dating an Arab woman (widely known as being one of the best looking women in the world) so such pathetic and desperate insults from uneducated, likely ugly and low IQ individuals should not be overly surprising or shocking. Arabs do not care about such individuals and as such behavior never takes place in person (against Arabs) in the Arab world, it equals the average anonymous anti-Arab obsessed troll's behavior on PDF.
Because all of this is much more a Pakistan-India fight, to Arabs it is not big. India is far away from the Arab world, not a neighbor. Who actually cares that some monkey in their parliament decided to tweet something. We have other priorities, likewise I could not care if someone in Brazil has an opinion.
Either way I believe Indians need to be reduced in the GCC.
Indeed. This is a mostly Pakistani-Indian beef (that transcends religions - if you ask many Pakistani users here most Indian Muslims are Uncle Toms) but Arabs have never, are not and will never tolerate expats (of whatever nationality, Indian or Martians) to insult Arabs, fellow Muslims or Islam while sitting in Arab countries. Such individuals will and should be dealt with, with an iron fist. I support deportations of such hateful individuals regardless of where they are from.
Having said that, only tiny/small nations like UAE and Qatar have a large Indian diaspora (mostly Indian Muslims) that make up some 20-25% of said countries populations. Have in mind that those are expats that are living in those countries temporary. Unless exceptional gifts, a will to become a citizen, learning Arabic and fully integrating (achieving all the necessary points to be considered a citizen), they are temporary guests.
What is the purpose of tagging me in this thread? For me to state the obvious? Do you think that the average Arab is part of some ongoing internal South Asian rivalries on Twitter or cares about whatever some slum dog is writing on Twitter of ramblings?
We have enough on our own plate.
The only relevant thing is that such people know their place in the GCC and if they engage in such behavior, they will be dealt with, with an iron fist. At least in KSA.
He won't come. It does not suit his agenda.
And what imaginary agenda are you blabbering about? Do you think that 500 million Arabs stay awake because some slum dog is writing nonsense on Twitter which is part of the mainly Pakistani-Indian mud slinging that takes place on Twitter and elsewhere online?
What matters is that any anti-Arab, anti-Muslim etc. expat is dealt with an iron fist in the GCC and Arab world. I don't know what they do in UAE or Qatar but in KSA such people do not even dare to write such thoughts to begin with as they are well aware of the existing laws in place and consequences.
EDIT: Truth be told, many of those supposed Arabic accounts on Twitter are not Arabs. The average Arab has no clue about internal South Asian dynamics/political parties/politicians etc. Pakistanis and Indians engaging in such "identity theft" on Twitter are merely shooting themselves in the foot but 99.99% of it is played out outside of the GCC so has no impact anyway.
Realization has finally hit the Gulf that thought Indians are harmless. Pakistanis told Arabs long ago, but they chose to ignore it.
You think that people just woke up and realized that there is a large section of anti-Muslim Indians online? The reality however is that it does not impact Arabs directly and it is mostly aimed at Pakistanis due to the ongoing political rivalry since 1947. Maybe Bangladesh as well, I have no clue. Moreover most Indians in the GCC are Muslims and the Hindu or whatever Indians (non-Muslim Indians) are generally not that stupid to risk getting jailed, deported etc. for hate speech or in other words spit in the same bowl that feeds them and their families.
As for the mess that is internal Indian politics, I am afraid that non-Indian Muslims can do very little on the ground. As long as extreme poverty, illiteracy, tribal/ethnic/caste/religious etc. hatred/rivalry is rampant in India, Indian Muslims, who are heavily outnumbered, will suffer, I am afraid. It should be the job of sane Indians to restore normality. If they want to kill each other, there is nothing that anyone can do about it.
No FGM there, your Kurdish cousins however do it
Never heard about any such practices in the Arab world anywhere else than some areas of the Maghreb and Egypt and some areas of Yemen (Afro-Arab tribes with origins in Somalia) and Somalia where it is the most widespread. I don't know the origins of this practice but I think that I once read that it is African in origin and predates Islam. Which should explain its prevalence among Afro-Arab communities.
Some say that it is related to the Shafi'i madhhab but I am not buying that.
Heard/once read that it is widespread among Kurds though. Not really a topic of interest, I have to admit.
