IED blast kills several security personnel in N. Waziristan

Why are MRAPS not being deployed in these areas?

.
Allah bless their souls.

Again IED hits tin can truck and major causalities. I hope the government and army are going out their way to get vehicles that can protect our FC troops well.

Instead of saying RIP, you guys need to understand why they are being killed. You have to understand the mentality of these corrupt generals that who have absolutely nothing to do with ground realities. They are living a lavish life in cantt areas of different cities where as common man can't even go, whereas poor soldiers are getting killed. These generals dont care if their men die or not, all they care about is how they can control the vast assets of this country and make a buck out of it, and how they can play their dirty politics and abuse their power.

Why are MRAPS not being deployed in these areas?
MRAPS is not the answer. The question you should be asking is "Why are those BRAINS not being deployed?"

Another brain-dead bharti with no knowledge of anything even remotely related to our COIN operations or anything related to Pak fauj.

The new COAS has already gone to the MOST war-affected areas in the ENTIRE country - Miranshah and Wana....has your army chief ever gone to Assam, Nagaland, Orissa or any flashpoint areas where Naxals kill 80 of your trips in one single prolonged armed engagement?

Just because they dont live in tin shacks or slums doesnt mean they live "lavish lives".....and yes - soldiers are dying. There have been numerous casualties - KIA or injured (slightly or permanently). We take care of our own, so dont worry about our soldiers. They know what they signed up for and their jihad against these enemies of Pakistani Republic never goes in vain. They know it, the nation knows it.

youre confusing your army and your generals and admirals (retd. and active) with ours buddy....go finish your lollipop rather than spread lies

MRAPS is not the answer. The question you should be asking is "Why are those BRAINS not being deployed?"

The Army is doing its part

from development/infrastructure works to relief works (natural disasters, IDP management etc.) to even Army-run de-radicalization centers to help woo youth AWAY from militancy and misguided/miscreant/undesirable activity which YOUR country helps foment :)

so take your lecture about Generals you don't know two shytes about and shove it where the sun dont shine

k thanks

RIP.. And for Indian members, please do not lecture on the back of the shahadat of 8 brave men. Keep the arguments for another thread. Let this one remain as one of respect.

The brave soldiers in the field need all the help they can get. MRAPS can be part of providing them with better tools to do the very difficult task they are trying to do.

True. Particularly when you have maoists in the back one should avoid such posts.

the insurgency will further die when the causes are addressed not just the symptoms.....the govt. one after the other should get involved so that the Army isnt forced to pick up the tab on every aspect
