IED blast in WANA (SWA) - Major martyred, 6 Jawans injured

RAWALPINDI: An officer of Pakistan Army was killed and six soldiers sustained injuries due to an IED blast in Wana on Tuesday.

The ISPR said in a statement that Major Imran lost his life in the explosion, which took place during a cordon and search operation in South Waziristan.

IED's have a devastating effect on forces and civilians alike in both Afghanistan and Pakistan. There are steps which we should take in this regard before there is more loss of life at the hands of extremists.
