IDPs laud nation, gov’t for their support

ISLAMABAD, Jul 15 (APP): The IDPs of Malakand Division have lauded the efforts of the government and the whole nation for support during their displacement. Talking to APP, IDPs said they were thankful to the government and the whole nation for support adding that they would play their vital role for the progress and prosperity of the country.
The IDPs said that they had to leave their homes and properties for peace and prosperity in the area.

An IDP from Swat, Imran Khan said that they support the federal and provincial government initiatives in the Malakand division.

Another IDP Amjad Zarin from Dir, appreciated the efforts of the whole nation, saying that he would remember the love and efforts of the nation for their welfare.

He said that the people were very happy on returning to their homeland to their life again.

Meanwhile MNA Zafar Beg Bhittani talking to APP, lauded the sacrifices of the IDPs for the cause of the country, adding that it will bring peace and prosperity in the area.

He said that the government and the nation will extend their support for the rehabilitation of the IDPs, adding that they are our brothers and it is our responsibility.

GOP had given only 25000 Rs per family ,which is joke with them , proper estimation of loss of life and property is required to compensate IDPs.

25000 is not compensation. it was only given to them so that they could carry on with their lives.
reconstruction phase is still to start. and ppl will start gettin compensation once this current phase (return) comes to an end.

Over 500 families leave Mardan camps to return home

MARDAN: The repatriation of displaced people continue with full pace from Sheikh Shahzad camp Mardan and Saleem Sugar Mill Palosai Charsadda to Swat and Buner areas under the government arrangement on Wednesday.

A spokesman of Sheikh Shahzad Camp Mardan that a total of 362 displaced families left for Buner in 45 air-conditioned buses and 24 trucks with their entire luggage duly escorted by the army personnel.

He said that the returnees were voluntary opting for their repatriation and were excited to move back to their native areas and homes.

Eye catching scenes were witnessed during the repatriation as many of the female and children were moved to tears when asked about their feelings at this historical moment saying that they never expected such an early return and were grateful to the government for carrying out a successful operation within a limited time.

Meanwhile, a total of 60 families left for their hometown Swat from Salim Sugar Mill relief camp in Palosa Charsadda district on Wednesday.

The displaced families left on six buses and three trucks along with their belongings.

Similarly, 172 displaced families boarded 21 buses and 17 trucks for their hometown in the Buner district. They were seen off by the camp officials present on the occasion.
