KARACHI: Rebutting allegations, Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain declared on Wednesday that he had turned down illegitimate money offered by ‘visitors to his home’, Express News reported.
Addressing a public gathering via phone, Hussain said that he should not be targeted in the NRO case since he never accepted illegitimate money offered to him by agencies. He stated that the men who attempted to give him money had appeared on news channels in Pakistan and had corroborated his claim.
Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf leader Imran Khan had earlier on Wednesday spoken of politicians who were accused of ‘taking’ millions of rupees from Pakistan, during a press conference in Islamabad.
Khan had expressed his dissatisfaction with powerful men in Pakistan committing crimes and getting away through NROs.
The PTI chief taking a swipe at politicians said that those who “have allegations against them of taking Rs3.5 million and those who have Rs5 billion in Switzerland yet say they will not tell” will not be able to save the country.

Forgive me for not accepting word of mouth, from what I am sure are otherwise honest friends. I see no proof of this. I live here and yet, I see no proof. I have never been forced to vote for MQM. My own family voted PPP in the last elections, in an area where the MQM guy eventually won.

I remember arguing with you over the performance of this government and Zardari, so not going to get into this again.

The UN report indicates that poverty has been reduced by 4% in the last 6 years, surely worth something. Forgetting Zardari, I have never heard friends here ever mention this either. I have studied at BSS, Bahria College and now NUST, but have never heard of this.

truthseer is one of the examples why there can be no peace in Karachi as locals support these political parties with close eyes and the only action they will agree with is if army kills the opposing side Rock on truthseer by the time you see reality it will be too late.

Ridiculous is People following a leader who lives in different part of the world away from all the troubles he has caused , never ever visits the so called people he represents and has no Job or way of income yet lives quite comfortably.

Absoulteyl!!! My father was forced to vote for MQM. It was morning so the desperation wasn't there to take out a gun but an MQM thug walked into the polling booth in his tow and forced him to vote for MQM.

It was 2008 elections.

He never took the money but Mr altaf hussain is living in London for last 20 years without working. So where is the money coming from? And what about extortion? MQM started this bhatta khoree way back when in 90s. Also dont even talk about the gun culture MQM has brought to Karachi.

Oh! I forgot about the target killers!!
