Agreed, your soldiers in frontline ops are better equipped. For IA it is peace time, but the soldiers in COIN are equipped better..

So do you think if a war breaks out or our region gets messy each and every IA soldier still be under equipped? I dont think so just for the fact IA has access to more money than PA as of now.

PS- There are pics of average soldier much better equipped than the pics what you posted. Too lazy to dig it up.

PPS- The pics are old what you posted, see the pics from recent exercises between India and China. Look at their equipment. If you are comparing you should do it with out any bias. Just saying.

Our military was much like yours till early - mid 2000s... Tin bucket helmets.. No protective guards/pads.. No fancy sights... No light weight jackets ,no NVGs for infantry .. No program in place like current PACES.. etc etc .. Today it's a whole different ball game.

Anyways, you are free to think what you wish, I was just pointing out the flaws in it. If you think PA is superior be it.

Surely you won't expect officers or troops in barracks to be using camelbaks etc now do you ? The guys on guard duties or part of QRF teams they are though.

As for money 7.2 billion is spent entirely in mil we don't pay pensions,R&D,nuke stuff or paramilitary budget from that !

Apart from 2.5-3 billion CSF and FF fundings.. Nor do we have 1 million regular troops or obsolete soviet stuff to replace ..

Yea when it's dark out you use NVG so you can actually see. Thus giving you an advantage in coordinating attacks against a group which cannot see as well.

Finally, Rangers don't have these as well. And any troop transfer to your fronts will be known to India. Pakistan is thoroughly infiltrated by our MI.

1.Wouldn't say this is a totally hypothetical scenario. After all these three nations are always preparing to face such an eventuality - although all hope that this will not happen.
2. In such a situation, BD will be the pivotal for Chinese advance against China. China's strategy in NE, Red Corridor, Andaman Sea-Bay of Bengal will spin out of BD.

That was few years back. Tirah is a success story today. If Indian army would have been involved in Tirah, I am sure there would have been more deaths due to suicides than battle casualties. And our guys are not inferior to your troops in training, manpower and definitely in guts.
