Huawei wants to sell phones, if there is optics that they are spying, then less people will buy their phone. Regardless of the truth.

Huawei can do nothing about the optics, but they will suffer in phone sales (p30 being the proof of that).

So at the end if the day Huawei needs to prove that they don't spy, or they can do nothing and pull out of the Western market.

I personally own a Huawei phone, but I don't like the software so I'm going to buy a pixel phone next.
