What you say is not true ? banks do not loan money to countries that are bad credit risks. banks do not loan money for uneconomical projects like Hambonta port. of course chinese banks do not follow those rules because the real objective was never the success of the port. it was more like a land grab

China depends its own rating agencies which are less discriminatory.

That is why many sub prime nations including Sri Lanka has no choice but to depend on China for loans.
Sri Lanka has try very hard to apply for IMF loans without any success. That is before they turned to China.

So you see if you are listed as a sub prime borrower, you cannot complained just like Greece, Argentina, Zimbabwe,etc.
They have to learn to be grateful.
