they are giving us something equal to f-16 blk/60 in just 40-45 million each,i dont think so that PAF is negotiating over prices.
Acc to ACM current J-10b version haven't reached to the PAF desired standard which is Fc-20 and yeah problem with the engine too.
and yeah it could be a price matter too b/c what we read about Fc-20 its seems to be not less then F-16 block 60.

A confusion between J-10 and FC-20 .

In simple words.
FC-20 to J-10 is as Block-60 to F-16.

FC-20 is being developed with the interaction of PAF officials as we need this aircraft to counter MKI and now MMRCA.

FC-20 is also dubbed as F-10.
The main difference between J-10 and FC-20 would be these:

* Improved design , improved wings and fuselage design and reduced weight by using Composite materials.

* Improved Engine WS-10 with more Thrust , it yet to be seen if WS-15 would be Installed in it if done it would have great performance with 184KTN engine.

* Retractable IFR Probes , IRST , Modern Glass cockpit , New potent package of avionics and Electronics.

* CFT's

* 13 hardpoints -11 Weapons stations + 2 hardpoints for Laser targeting pods and other equipments.

* HMS

* New Data link

* Its yet to be seen if the brand new extended range PL-12G would be integrated.

J10B has been developed based on Pakistan's requirments.... So their must have been some kind of negotiations before the start of project.

We will have 18 F16 C/D
We will have 36 JF17 thunder in our inventrory



With 14 more schedualed for up coming year
and 36 more JF17 Thunders in 2011

Would be nice to hear what is being tested on J10B these days , can't wait to see these beautiful planes in our airforce we will be the first out side of China to have access to these awesome planes


I don't know why but I have this huntch that we will be just ... get all our 36 J19B a bit sooner then 2015 ^_^ perhas we will be updating our deal from 36 to 100 J10B

Will it have Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System? And i think 184kn thrust is tooo much, it will have WS-10G 155kn! But non reliable wikipedia says it will have WS-15(180+kn) engine!

Well obviously the biggest benefit is that it is 100% in our control we take a girl on a cruise in the plane , we do monkey flips inside it

Its 100% our plane there is too much red tape on F16C/D and also that plane is/was the best plane in 90's its not the 90's no more its 2010 ...

While yes it can serve the needs of our nation for odd 5-7 years but we really need to look to J10B superior planes next generation planes from China

Yes J-10 can carry two N-C Ra'ad cruise missile and JF-17 one.
