How tough Drill sergets get with new recruiots ??

Few days ago i saw this Stanley Kubrick film called "Full metal jacket" . Great film i recommend.
Some portion of the film deal with the training of US marines by their drill sergeants who get too hard on them .

I want to know about the situation in India and Pakistan .

How do drill sergeant of defense forces in our part of the world deal with the young new recruits ?

My father used to tell to me the tales of his times.

The SM yelling on the speakers, DRILL SERGEANT , increase to 105 steps, and everybody would be prepared, DRILL SERGEANT, increase to 120 steps, and according to my father, everybody in the ground was near dying that time!!
