How to make only a poll without posts?

Can we make a new thread that is a poll? But without allowing people to post replies? They should only vote on the poll.
Do the votes appear with ID's?
Only thread starter should be able to post replies on the poll. Is that possible?

Trying to do? I only asked a technical question.

By ID I meant the forum ID. (like mine is Dreamer etc.).... And one only has to read the forum to know who stands where. Nothing secret about that, all that is already known.

The idea about a poll without replies is to avoid annoying posts by non serious posters, who just derail the topic. Anyone can already post a poll. Many people have already done. So what? I just don't want annoying replies by some village idiot on it....sorry i meant forum idiots.

I Just wanted a poll without silly arguments that most threads are full of, so asked this technical question. Answer if you can on the actual question, Thanks.
