How the Elite Culture in Pakistan is a Threat to its General Security

SOPs need to be followed in letter and spirit whether at airports or military checkpoints and vulnerable areas. This 'chalta hai' attitude of us South Asians is the bane of security protocols. We have this habit of taking things for granted.

For example, at airports, VIPs and their 'chamchas' accompanying them are allowed direct access to aircraft without any mandatory security checks! Why? Because these people are considered the rulers. Like during the British raj, when we used to bow to the white skins and treat them as our lords and masters. That slave mentality remains even after more than 65 years of independence.

So now that legacy has been passed on and the politicians have taken over that mantle. Check out the 50-car convoys of these VIPs zooming past massive traffic jams as all traffic has to be stopped for over one hour to let these maharajas pass. They have made the rules for their convenience. We don't count. Privileges are only for the high and mighty. Lesser souls like us are supposed to live life on crumbs thrown at us by these masters. This needs to change - now!

Where security per se is concerned within the security forces, there is a dire need to adhere strictly to laid down SOPs. It is gross dereliction of duty not to do so as this could result in fatal consequences. But the troops have to be trained accordingly and practiced in various situations and contingencies on a regular basis whether they are regulars or from the para military forces.
out of thousand common things between Pakistan and India this is the one...........

Aitchison and Beaconhouse are producing well-developed minds and less-developed hearts
some of our schooling is part of problem......

Why Kejriwal is not supported in India ...? I follow the developments about him but don't understand why outside Delhi he is not supported widely ? I am asking you the question in the same context of my article ?

Aitchison and Beaconhouse are producing well-developed minds and less-developed hearts ....Feudalism is the real problem I think ...look at Bilawal and Sharmila and their likes ...People died of hunger and they were just tweeting !

Surely feudalism is the mother of all ills in Pakistan and across the subcontinent. Although, all of this can be related to attitude. Attitude can be changed through education and awareness. Fuedalism too can be fought through education and more education.

Bilawal and the likes are most extreme manifestation of elitism in Pakistan. Don't be surprised by their actions.

Modern education has got nothing to do with attitude ....it deals with infinite liberalism which does not yield to one particular attitude ...!

Because most of India thinks he's an opportunist and lacks political acumen. They don't have much confidence in his leadership. Lack of experience is another issue.

However, it is too early to say whether AAP's transformation from a watchdog of Indian politics to the lapdog of the political elite is as yet complete. But it seems to be heading in that direction - just another party after all.

AAP units in the rest of India gain nothing from the glorification of Kejriwal unless the brand is used to change politics in their states. AAP's brilliance lay in using the ideas of transparency and democratic decision-making, to open up the possibility of espousing entirely local issues in different geographies of India. Kejriwal's intolerance towards challengers makes it difficult for him to accommodate the regional leaders who would inevitably be thrown up by decentralised politics.

So, without a base of regional leaders having a fair degree of autonomy, AAP has little or no chance to swing the voter toward them. It would just be old wine in a new bottle that leaks!

I have heard him many times ....every time he makes sense ...unlike Modi Sarkar and his fellows who are damaging the secular image of India ...Pakistan too is actively in combat with anti-secular elements ...but India being secular means everything for peace in the region ...since it's a big country and has a bigger economy ...
I have seen the young lot was getting attracted to AAP just like we have the PTI ...also ...being tranparant is much better than being an 'old sinner' in the fields of politics ...!

I always wonder in foreign countries terrorist try to kill politicians but terrorist in our country are allied with politicians never attack them just attack poor men.........
Hi,
and then we are told that we believe in too much conspiracy theories, while what you just said is totally true

Modern education has got nothing to do with attitude ....it deals with infinite liberalism which does not yield to one particular attitude ...!
Hi,

with due to respect sir, then why don i see the same elitism in Uk or Usa or any first world country for that matter.

As long as you will have separate schools and residential enclaves in the society, these attitude will exist and get further reinforced.

What is a common sight in Pakistan or in any third world country?
A Xli Aka Toyota corolla with an aunty full of make-up who can barely speak english with little kids acting up all like wanabbes. And then you see this educated privileged family shamelessly employing a chotas caretaker for house who is barely 10-14 years old, who carries foodstuff for them, hell who looks after the whole house like full grown up man.
and then we say why we have this elite culture ?

The problem is not with zardari or anyone, the problem is at the root level which needs to addressed

.
whom do you mean by elite ?
Anyone building a miniature personal army with enough guards to protect the US president! = landlords + every bloody politician, their kids, cousin, 2nd cousin, 3rd cousins, in-laws and the list grows basically, the top 5-10% living off family wealth or illegally growing their own!

I always wonder in foreign countries terrorist try to kill politicians but terrorist in our country are allied with politicians never attack them just attack poor men.........
Yup :agree:
