How the British convinced Hindus that Muslims were despots and religious invaders

The point of view of the article is very clear.

What, Sir, is your own point of view?

In several years of membership of this forum, there have been numerous occasions to point out that the experiences of the coastal regions, from Sindh to Chittagong, and the experiences of inland regions, from Kabul to Chennai, have been vastly different. This is another chapter of that larger history, or perhaps, more accurately, two histories in one, that most/all Indians and Pakistanis, AND Bangladeshis, should know about.

I am interested to see how this old and drawn-out discussion transmutes itself this time.

The Islam of Coastal regions of South India and Sri Lanka is VASTLY different than the history of Northern part of the subcontinent

The Northern part of the subcontinent was always a rugby match between settled agricultural empires and horseborne nomadic confederacies streaming in from the North West

It is just that in post-Islamic times the nomadic horseborne archers brought in a lasting religion

The Wars between Indians and Nomads coming in through Khyber was just as Brutal in pre-Islamic as it were in post-Islamic times

Even now there are significant modern literature that recount the horrific Huna invasions..
Kaler Madira being a famous Bengali work on the Huna episode

Makes you appreciate the task that Jinnah faced.
