How racists are Chinese?

Hey you are correct. All the Chinese in the US can't speak English and spend their days begging on the streets instead of having real jobs due to the language barrier. How stupid of me to think otherwise.

But your story is about Chinese people in China.

As for the Chinese in the USA, they are influenced by American culture, not Chinese culture.

No, it was in response to @Mugwop observations of Chinese in the US. She's a New Yorker.(or at least was).

Almost all are practically "right off the boat" so they had their biases already. They didn't get dumped into some dangerous inner-city neighborhood just to get bad experiences.

You're good at making up stories. But you forget that the Chinese don't speak English. Please tell me, what is the translation of N***** into Chinese word?
Should be “mọi đen” in Viet and moi ren in chinese slang.

She is American. She is deeply influenced by American culture.
You are her friend. It's likely that she and you are the same kind of person.
China is a civilization disguised as a country. The Chinese are a concept of culture, not skin colour. Even if she has black hair and black eyes, she is not necessarily Chinese.

. . .
No offense to black people but sometimes they are weird to say the least, I mean despite constantly giving Warning by HR at my workplace some of black people don't pull their pants up, I mean some of them wear their pants so low that half their Butt is exposed in a work environment, which is disgusting and pathetic. I once asked a HR Korean lady about this, she said they can only issue warning but if they fire someone for this they will cause a scene and make it about Racism, she was telling me about a past incident but then someone interrupted us so I figure there was a racism lawsuit or case for that vary reason.

As for China, they are no saints nor exclusive when it comes to racism, every country has their share of Racists pieces of shits.

East Asians used to be at the same level as blacks in the White eyes. East Asians changed their position in the discrimination food chain by their achievements. Black poeple or other races are not discriminated by their skin color, rather by their behave and capabilities.

Look at any videos and blogs that travel to China, whether Anti China or pro China. Who said the Chinese were racist? The Chinese are the most friendly people to foreigners.
Yes, the Chinese hate the Japanese and the Americans because of history and conflicts of interest. This is not racism.
Yes, The Chinese don't like those black people who stay illegally in GuangDong. But everyone knows some black people habits, theft, drug abuse, promiscuity, fighting, disobedience to discipline, etc. This is completely contrary to the living habits of the Chinese people. How do you make the Chinese like them? This is not racism. Because no matter what race people do these things, Chinese people will not like it. It has nothing to do with skin color.

This is true and I have seen the same issue with some African folks living in Malaysia and Thailand. Same in Bangladesh too where some were implicated in ATM frauds, and other types of frauds. Most of these Africans arrive on tourist visa and overstay illegally.

Granted - there are educated and disciplined African folks too, but they do not make the news for the wrong reasons, and they usually don't travel to foreign countries except seeking a better life in Western countries.

hmmm ... some racists in USA would say the same. I hope you see where people are coming from

@nahtanbob bigots in the US (of both black and white variety) don't need a logical reason to dislike you - unlike Chinese. In the US they hate you without getting to know you because they are uneducated idiots with no sense of personal societal responsibility. Fundamental difference.

When brother @MH.Yang talks about a "society that pursues collectivism, discipline and accountability" he is talking about Asian values. The society in the US has failed to inculcate those types of values in its younger citizens. Like taking responsibility for oneself, working hard and educating oneself to become an upright outstanding member of society.

Most attacks on elderly Asians in California have been by younger African Americans unfortunately. They were almost all caught and prosecuted. These people are so dense, they thought Chinese/Asian folks infected the US with Covid.

I've lived the better part of my life in the US (Thank Goodness mostly in the West Coast which is a melting pot of Pacific cultures) and I know what its like in the rest of the country, especially in the South. No need to sugar-coat the obvious.

I have also been to China - many times. It is true that they also steer clear of foreign folks sometimes and some less than clueful Chinese will have pre-conceived notions (rare) like Japanese, but once you get to earn their trust (key word) they are friendly, polite and very helpful, just like Japanese.

In my level of friends and business contacts (highly educated folks) this has never ever been an issue, of course.

India and Pakistan are racist societies to the core too.

Agreed. Once in my Indian city I was at a famous shopping street and a Black young woman passed by - must have been a student - and there were two young fellow who called her "Kaali, Kaali" ( Blackie, Blackie ). Those fellows were darker than me.

Color racism, any racism, is ingrained in Indian society. Look at the farmer protests. They are calling upon the government to remove the "Kaale kanoon" ( Black laws ) which they feel are wrong.

They have often shown Blacks in poor light in their ads. Haven't you seen that detergent ad?

Which ad ?

I have been telling your countryman @serenity how non-innovative the Chinese are. They just use or copy others' designs and innovations, first from the USSR and now from the Americans. The Chinese just throwing in their new-found wealth in Capitalist terms will not get them innovativeness.

A lot of people now categorize all kinds of behavior as racist, which I think is a glorified version of racism. Racism is the identity of a person's race is everything. And many people put prejudice and stereotypes in the category of racism, and they are different.

For example. Many slums in the United States are populated mostly by black people. It also has a high crime rate. When an American is wary of black people because of the high crime rate, it's not racism, it's stereotyping. Another American thinks that crime rate is high because of black people. That's racism.

But I think that's what racists in America want, ordinary people being called racists because they're worried about their safety. When they feel unsafe but blamed, they turn to racism. The real problem is poverty. Poverty is caused by the economic system. The beneficiaries of the economic system are not willing to change, so the rich control the media and incite the people at the bottom to fight each other. It's easier for the rich to rule the US.

Chinese are very racist but it's not in the same way as people in the US. In China, people just think darker skinned people are ugly but don't hate darker skinned people. In the US, there's hatred and animosity.

You are absolutely right, agree on all counts.
