17 projects of 3102 MW to be completed in Pakistan
this year

ISLAMABAD: A total seventeen power projects in
thermal, hydro, rental and coal power generation sector
having installed capacity 3102 MW will be completed
from this week to December this year. The completion of These projects would contribute in controlling
loadshedding in the country with the addition of 3102
MW to the national grid.
According to a senior official of the Pakistan Power
Infrastructure Board (PPIB), two of the seventeen
projects namely Orient Power Project of 225 MW and
Atlas Power Project of 225 MW are scheduled to start
functioning within couple of weeks.
The government has taken all possible steps to
complete ongoing projects of thermal, hydro, rental and
coal power generation schemes in public and private
sectors aimed at controlling loadshedding by enhancing
power generation to overcome the deficit of electricity in
the country.
All the seventeen power projects being completed are
Atlas Power Project 225 MW first week of June 2009,
Orient Power Project 225 MW this week of May 2009,
Rental Plant at Faisalabad 150 MW July 2009, Rental
Plant at Guddu 110 MW August 2009, Rental Plant at
Sahuwala 150 MW September 2009, Rental Plant at
Multan 192 MW September 2009, Rental Plant at Satiana
Road 200 MW September 2009, Karkey Rental Project 232
MW September 2009, Walters Rental Project 205 MW
September 2009, Gulf Power Rental Project 62 MW
December 2009, Independent Power Rental Project 200
MW December 2009, Khan Khawar (Hydro Power Project)
72 MW September 2009, Fauji Mari Power Project 202 MW
Sept 2009, Nishat Power Project 200 MW July 2009,
Muridka (Sapphare) Power Project 225 MW October 2009,
Engro Power Project 227 MW December 2009 and Sahiwal
(Saif) Power Project 225 MW October 2009.
However, ten more power projects in hydel and thermal
sector having installed capacity 1984 MW will be
completed in the next year from January to December.
Projects are Jinnah Low Head Hydel 96 MW February
2010, Nishat Chunian Project 200 MW March 2009,
HUBCO-Narowal Project 225 March 2010, Allai Khwar
(Hydro Power Project) 121 MW September 2010, Duber
Khwar (Hydro Power Project) 130 MW October 2010,
Bhikki Power Project 225 MW December 2010, Nandipur
Power Project 425 MW December 2010, Liberty Power
Tech 200 MW December 2010, Japan Expansion Project
156 MW, December 2010, Green Power Project 205 MW,
December 2010.

All these projects which had to be completed in 2010 fizzled in thin air.

Dude, i think its about time you guys end this hypocrisy and negativity on this forum that you are spreading. Calm down with your negativity and give the new government a chance to perform. Just because your favorite leader lost in the election doesnt mean you go ape crazy at other promising leaders. Pakistan is everyones country, have some tolerance. PMLN has not done anything that gives us a reason to hate them so far. The whole international community is showing strong trust and confidence on PMLN and PMLN leadership hasnt done anything so far that is against the interest of pakistan. Its better if you stop posting than spreading negativity.

Khud bahrain main betho ho or dosron ko demotivate kar rahay ho. If you have so much problem with PMLN, why dont you come to pak and help your country? But no, thats too hard for you. All you can do is talk from your computer from a different country.
