How much our life is influenced by the foreign policy of state?

We goes to hysteric here about our states befriending certain nations and having uneasy relation about others.How does it really matter to us in our individual life?

How does it matter to me or anybody else if Putin occupies crimea or israel attack Gaza again or China showing defiance towards UNCLOS in south China sea? Do these thing really matter or say should these thing should matter?

I would do same job pretty much and earn and spends on my family. So please enlighten me. How does a foreign policy affects a common man like me?
