I doubt this news, as far as I am concern, Hong Kongers still hate us and would want to enslave us Filipinos if they have the chance.

Filipino maids are everywhere, I felt like a minority when I visit HK during weekends! Seems they are still very popular among HK employers. I heard Indonesian maids are popular too is that right? What is average salary level for PH/ID maids?

Since some years back many HK/SG families expatriated to Shanghai had brought along their Filipino maids. Influenced by that, these days many Shanghainese families also employ Filipino maids because of some preferable qualities e.g. Christian/Catholic, English-speaking, nice character, good work ethics. For live-in maid, salary range RMB 5~12K/month, tax free, home visit trip once per annum.
