Yeah it is our constitution and it is our business and it is we who should decide what should be done. Here Rising, doesn’t ask us to change the constitution. He is just setting a platform to talk abt our issues and he doesn’t try to force us anything, So be civil. It seems he is doing this for everyone’s good. Don’t u think it is high time we should solve our matters. And our internal issue does bother indians because they too are impacted by it. He is not a TN ltte supporter with false bravado. So engage constructively without being arrogant.

Yes it is functioning, but gov is taking steps to remove it from the constitution. Also it has not been functioning in full scale.

What if Police and land powers goes to hands of politicians? Things will be more worst than today!

If there are no tamil areas, then there shouldn’t be any sinhala area, right? Go and tell that to any villager in deep south. For many rural sinhalese their land is very precious. It is the same for northern tamils. Jaffna tamils worship their jaffna city. And certain parts of the country do have tamil flavour as much as the rest has sinhala flavour. So understand that. SL is not a new country to make it a homogenous one. There is a history part in it too. We have to accept the tamil heritage of SL and that requires acknowledging that there is a majority tamil speaking part in the country. Think of the way forward.

There is a difference between word "Tamil areas" and Tamil dominated areas, Muslims dominated areas.
I don't have any issue we should secure every heritage even Malay under Sri Lankan Identity.

‘INDIA WILL SUPPORT RESOLUTION IF SL FAILS TO HONOUR UN RECOMMENDATIONS’

India would support any resolution brought forward by United Nations against Sri Lanka if the island nation does not honour recommendations of the world body on human rights issues, India’s Minister of State in the PMO V. Narayanasamy said on Sunday.

“When United Nations brought forward a resolution against Sri Lanka, India voted for it. If UN’s recommendations are not honoured by Sri Lanka, India will support any resolution brought by it against the island nation,” he told reporters in Chennai.

Observing that the Indian government was always for protecting Sri Lankan Tamils, he noted that powers were given to them through the Rajiv Gandhi-Jayawardene accord. “But Rajapaksa is not accepting them now.

“India is taking steps to get powers for Sri Lankan Tamils. That’s why India is taking a neutral stand. Not like some Tamil parties and Tamil Nadu government, which take decisions and pass resolution without thinking...,” he was quoted as saying by PTI.

I am not asking something new. I am just demanding, what was promised? Do u think i am demanding something that wasnt planned at all or promised?

40K is a number given by UN(not some worthless tamil political parties). So what have SL done to remove the doubts of international community?

Even LLRC report havent made public fully. BBC is not Indian owned. In many cases, its considered more reputable, than SL or Indian dailies.

What have SL done to punish the people responsible for Killings of innocents? Now dont sat LTTE too murdered innocents. It was destroyed, decimated, with soldiers killed.

Unlawful hostile enemy combatants are not innocents, they are targets. Remember this always.

That women they showed on that documentary, she was full and truly involved with a terrorist organization, she will never be under the protection of the SLA. She is a target, the SL army was in full right to target and engage her.

National interest will always come above and beyond, God or human rights.

There will be no devolution of power, no other province is asking for this, we are never going to give this. If they want to establish their peelam, they should prepare to eat more lead from the SLA.
