Honour Roll

Last year, in grade 9 my average was over 80% so i am one of 112 students out of 2000 that made the Honour Roll.

Marks:

Math(Academic):76%
English(Academic): 83%
IT in Business: 62%
Integrated Technologies: 81%
Geography(Academic):87%
Civics:85%
Careers:89%
Phys Ed: 88%

If through high schoo, i am in the honour roll every year plus if i get over 80% in six out of eight in my main courses in grade twelve i recieve a gold pin and am proclaimed an Ontario Scholar.

thats the one ..... I did so good in it... 86%....

now I am in 3rd year Automotive engineering.

I took MGA 4U1.
calculus
SCH4U1
SPHU1
BIO.
and some other course I cant remember ..

to get into any university u need above 80% !!! esp if u want to go into engineering... like me

I am going into computer science. An average of 70% is needed. I am not as good as some of you guys here. Classes I took are

SPH 4U
ENG 4U
MGA 4U (Geometery and discrete)
ICS4M
MCB 4U (calculus)
MDM 4U (Data management)

needless to say, i gotta work hard to get in. geometery and discrete was basically the killer subject.

Definately Ahsan brother, Geometry and Discrete are lethal. So is Calculus. That is why i am taking only Functions in senior years. How is ENG 4U and what is that ICS course?

ICS4M is the University/college preperation course for computer science.
ENG 4U was pretty easy. We had an ISU which most of our mark depended on. It was like 30% of our mark. add that to exam, thats 50% of your mark right there. I got an acceptable mark for my standards.

People are telling me that Geometry and discrete is the harder than calculus. Calculus seems not that hard so far. the semester just started. whereas Geometry and discrete was really difficult from the first lesson.

Already took the class man. Passed but with a pretty miserable mark. Cant do anything about it. And this was the last time they were offering it. Its being discontinued after this year because it was too hard. So can't take it again.

I had discrete math and physics and english last semester. This semester i got Calculus, data management, and computer science.

When I was in pakistan last summer all my cousins were preparing for entry exams and SSBs etc.

I have to say that education in the UK is no where near as hard as what you guys have to go though.

I have 4 offers of places at Universities over here and they are conditional on the basis of my getting certain grades at A level.

Even the cost of actually going will be given to me in a loan by the government.

YOU GUYS HAVE MY RESPECT!!!
