HMS Glamorgan - Computer Ship Of The Future 1967

.
All eight of the class had short Royal Navy careers, serving on average less than 16 years. This may have had to do with rapid changes in computers during that period. The four ships of Batch 2 however would be operated for 16 to 23 more years after sale to the Chilean Navy, in which they all received extensive upgrades and modernisation.

Glamorgan experience near death in the Falklands campaign.
