9 out 10 Pakistanis I have met, including in my family, have grown up with a habit of blaming everything on our own heads. It is lazy intellect, no one challenges them, and they feel clever for blaming themselves, how can you be wrong if no one challenges you. It require the use of a brain for objective thinking to bring forward fair analysis.

Pakistan was declared as a "Homeland for Indian Muslims " in the Pakistan Resolution of 1940.
The resolution did not call for the displacement of the Hindu population . The areas constituting Pakistan were Muslim majority areas which were to be protected from the rest of Hindu majority India . The Hindus and non- Muslim population co-existing with Muslims in these areas were to continue living together as equal citizens which the first and subsequent constitutions of Pakistan explicitly stated.
The Founder of Pakistan ( Qaid e Azam M. A. Jinnah ) , the first Governor General, also stated this in his address to the nation on 11th August 1947

These people left because their region is very poor and there is no food to eat. They are too illiterate and poor to even understand the concept of citizenship, and have no idea what a bhakt is. Our country, our rules. Their country, their rules. We should make Pakistan better as a whole and not only try to appease small minorities. No country became powerful by just appeasing its minorities. The thing is Pakistan is a Muslim country with a strong Muslim identity. Latter one makes it impossible to be liked EVERYWHERE on earth. Especially in the case of Pakistan. What will happen if a Hindu becomes FM of Pakistan? They will cry why not PM, what if we build 100 Hindu temples in ares where no Hindus live? Why not a Hindu temple next to Faisal Masjid? We cannot appease them all and we shouldn't care about what the Whities think.

Funny that you bring up the US for being so open minded regarding public offices. Even if I become US citizen I cannot become the US president. You know why? I have no respect for people who love self-loathing, and wallowing in self-pity. Just because it comes out of your mouth, it doesn't mean it makes sense. An official appointment is an official pubic appointment, by your logic it should be open to every. You just defended the right of a person to rule by virtue of birth, that is even worse. That's discrimination of the highest order.

It's not praise from white masters or a "show and tell" secularism that is needed. The most important reason Pakistan needs minorities is because diversity both religious and linguistic is a vital military and security asset.

Example:
The Soviet Union crushed both
anti-semitism and Islamophobia ( anti-Turkic peoples ) in the Civil war ( 1917-1922); defeating the White Russians racists .
The Soviet Union attracted an influx of Jews and Muslims from many countries in Asia and Europe. This included the return of Russian speaking Jews who had fled Tsarist oppression .
Most Jewish communities entering the Soviet Union spoke Yiddish which has a lot of German words. It was easy for Jews to pick up the German language, and serve as translators, and intelligence analysts during World War 2. Likewise the presence of Muslims enabled the Soviet Union to reach out to the Muslim world in the 1950s establishing strong relations with Iraq, Egypt, Syria, Yemen, Algeria, Libya helping them with arms and industrial goods. This was something White Russia could never have done.

Specifically with Hindus in Pakistan, we must remember that Hindus are not necessarily synonymous with India. Nepal is a Hindu state but with cordial relations with Pakistan.
There are other smaller countries in the world with Hindu populations that are friendly to Pakistan such as Sri Lanka, Mauritius and Fuji.
Our Hindu population can be a bridge to these countries.
It is also obvious that a loyal Hindu population serves as a vital military asset due to their language skills.
