Yeah Comrades put Hindu Tag infront of their Name when the Protest is against Hindus been Hindu...

I am Malayalee Hindu I have not consumed any non-veg food in my life... many among my relatives are veg and some nonveg, but non Consume Beef...

Eating beef among Hindus is a latest trend in Kerala since last 2-3 decades when most hotels got owned by Muslims and Christians they started selling Cheap Beef meat in the name of Buffalo meat ... now for those who consumed it started giving argument that Vedas say about Cow meat...

But let me tell u Mleccha's both non-Hindu and the so called beefHindus that eating Beef and being Hindu cant go hand in Hand...

I used to think that Parsis can eat anything (after all, who else has greater moral right, seeing as in death we give our mortal remains to one of God's creatures to eat ourselves).

And I thought Parsis do not eat beef because it was one of the promises we made to Jadi Rana when he allowed us sanctuary in India.

So this whole beef thing got me thinking, wanting to know where my faith stood on this. After all Hinduism and Zoroastrianism are anciently linked.

Seems we have a tradition of bull sacrifice in ancient Mazdayasni times (the bull being slayed by the Perso-Greek Sun god, Mithra - famous sculpture from Persepolis). The bull from the IVC (Iranic, like the Priest). But beef is taboo as per some paper I read. Some were more blaise.

Anyways I do not see how one can be Hindu and eat beef .....

The Bull is to Zoroastrians what the Cow is to Hindus. Sacred.

LOL NO !!!!

Some of us are ferocious meat eaters . Weak hearts like me and my Mother don't eat meat . My brother has gone ahead and tasted Prawns and Crabs . My friends family eat Roganjosh and Chicken 6 times a weak .:D

Focus on the real issues, issues which are killing people every day.

KERALA (Web Desk) – Kerala is called the God’s Own Country for its sheer natural beauty.

But in recent decades the state has shown another beautiful trait that is even harder to come by in this beautifully diverse country – the strength of secularism.

The state has forever shown great examples of communal harmony. Even though in recent years there has been a rapid influx of communal forces and a surge in their popularity, Kerala remains largely secular and in good spirits.

The latest such scenario is the unified beef-eating protest organised by Hindus and Muslims together on the steps of Kerala’s state secretariat in Thiruvananthapuram.

The group of protesters was trying to prove a point that killing someone over ‘rumoured’ or real consumption of beef is not just unfair but downright heinous.

The members of the group called ‘Solidarity’ wore placards saying ‘Eating Beef Come And Kill Us’ throughout the protest even as they were serving ‘porotta and beef curry’ to all those who cared to join.

Beef ranks highly in Kerala’s non-vegetarian cuisine and people of all ages and faiths consume it.

This is in sharp contrast to the misleading view that Hindus should not consume beef due to religious constraints.

Interesting :coffee:
@nair @jamahir @SrNair
Are hindus in southern india ok with consuming beef?

Of Course .Ours is a diversified nation .Some guys will protest ,others will lynch people for stupid reason .Then again some others will do stupidity like this .We will quarrel and love each other .Foreigners dont need to worry about that .
AFAIK I dont even post in the stuffs that concerns Pakistan internal matter

@fakhre mirpur No offense .Nothing against you dude .I was talking about the link you posted .

Yes, Hindus in Southern India and North East doesn't believe in shoving down their beliefs and opinions on others throat.

And the morons that organized these stupidity dont even know the difference between the Kerala and Utter Pradesh that is far diversified .This is the problem of CPM morons in the Kerala .They are so eager to poke in unecessary matters ,lol they dont even spare America .
UP and her people dont even care about this drama in Kerala.Bu this will antogonize some hindus in here.
But under the tip of their nose another secular tragedy happened .A medical student ,a muslim women that married to NRI was divorced through Whatsapp. That poor family spend all of their life savings for her marriage .And now her life is destroyed .And we cant see these CPM or others in there .Because it will hit their vote bank.
Dont worry CPM will learn a lesson after assembly election.

Very poor excuse. No country bans consumption of dogs ,cats and even pork. Pork is sold even in muslim coutries. Even pakistan hasnt banned it. But therr will be very few stores from where u canbuy it. But its not that anyone is blocked from consuming it and will be lynched like hindus did to that gentleman.

Err..you are wrong. Many countries ban killing & consumption of cats & dogs. Even horses.

Tigers and other wildlife animals are obviously banned for wildlife protection ...how much common sense does one needs to understand this? Stop coming up with stupid examples.
Best to keep words like stupid out of a discussion, not like you are the only one able to throw them about.

Consumption of such animals remain banned in many places even if they are sought to be farmed. The examples are not out of place, any such ban is largely related to cultural opinions. Some countries ban, other obviously don't.

Lastly, world over beef and mutton are cosidered some of the best sources of nutrition in meat category. Its fine hindus dont wnat to consume ...who cares , but why impose on non hindus? Are u a hindu country?

It's a bit like Muslims not wanting drawing of cartoons of some figures. The correct response as mentioned is "who cares". However states like India, unlike the classic secular countries like France tend to prefer avoiding trouble by preventing such issues from creating it. Having said the ban in India is based on a roundabout manner in connecting it to the protection of livestock (which is a state subject)even if the real reason was connected to a cultural taboo.

what i dont get if cows are so sacred then why u have cows dying on roadsides , left unattended, with plastic bags found in their guts as they had nothing to feed on and were left unattended ,unfed...then u guys have the guts to impose bans.

Does not mean anything, active slaughter is discouraged. The ban on cow slaughter has been in place for decades. Nothing new.

And stop lying abt wholeof india not consuming beef. It is mainly the cow belt which is north india that doesnt consume.

I didn't make any claim, if you have read my comments elsewhere, you would know that I'm not religious nor do I care for any bans. However as I have said elsewhere, this is the actual situation in India as per law. Cow slaughter remains banned, the consumption of "beef" as in buffalo meat or carabeef remains non-banned.

The ones in red are where such cow slaughter bans exists. J&K is now taken off it following Supreme Court intervention.

Fine india also has ban on hunting tigers and wildlife ...like other countries, so considering ur logic if other nations have ban on some kind of animals that ppl dont consume...then they have wildlife ban but beef is allowed. Now u also have wildlife hunting ban as well as cow ban. Now .... ? How wil u make it even with other nations' ban?

It is not about what other nations do, that was merely to point out that bans exists. For different animals, in different places. A cultural context makes the cow a subject for a ban in India. Not like India want other countries to ban it.

Remove cow ban for non hindus.

Our laws are there for the population as a whole. As I have given an example earlier, Muslims object to non-Muslims drawing cartoons which should not apply since non-Muslims do not subscribe to the religion & any restrictions should not stop them. India has its laws, I suggest you stop wasting your time trying to get India to alter its laws. There is no religious compulsion for any one to necessarily eat beef. Eating it is a choice, just like elephant meat might be a choice for some. They don't get to eat it, no reason to jump up & down about cow slaughter bans either. Carabeef is not banned, feel free to enjoy if you ever come to India.

The Bull is to Zoroastrians what the Cow is to Hindus. Sacred.
For Hindus Bull is as sacred as Cow...

Ideologically a Hindu is expected to be Vegetarian ... But there are some restrictions in been vegetarian as well... a Hindu shouldnt kill a Tree or a Plant in the process of obtaining food... Hindus are restricted from Cutting Forests and Killing Wild Animals, we should live in harmony with nature that is the reason in Indian before digging a water well we do Pooja to mother earth before tearing her up and the first cup of water is offered to Plants near by as it is believed that the vegetation has the first rights over Underground water...

There are lots rules laws some are very complicated which is beyond understanding of present day people... that is the reason with 1.2 Billion population with such

Not serving but sering on ramzan

Our pm did it by thrring to make christumas working day

did you read that article ? ...There is no official Food ban during Ramzan month so whats wrong in giving pork to non Muslim students?

If some one wanna eat beef, they still can eat..... Only cow slaughter is banned....... There is no ban on buffalo meat consumption.....

"Thanks a lot honourable President sir for the assent on Maharashtra Animal Preservation Bill. Our dream of ban on cow-slaughter becomes reality now," chief minister Devendra Fadnavis said on Twitter. A delegation of seven state BJP MPs had met the President recently and submitted a memorandum.

The law will ban beef from the slaughter of bulls and bullocks,
which was previously allowed based on a fit-for-slaughter certificate, according to The Indian Express. The new Act will, however, allow the slaughter of water buffaloes.

The punishment for the sale of beef or possession of it could be prison for five years with an additional fine of Rs 10,000. "Apart from rendering people jobless, the immediate effect will be the spiralling price of other meats as people will be forced to gravitate to them,”Indian Express quoted president of the Mumbai Suburban Beef Dealer Association Mohammed Qureshi as saying.

Reuters had earlier reported that Hindu nationalists in India had stepped up attacks on the country's beef industry, seizing trucks with cattle bound for abattoirs and blockading meat processing plants in a bid to halt the trade in the world's second-biggest exporter of beef.

An official at a beef transport group in Maharashtra state said around 10 vehicles travelling to Mumbai had been stopped in the last week of February, the animals taken forcefully and drivers beaten up by members of Hindu nationalist groups despite carrying valid documents.

However, a BJP spokesperson Madhav Bhandari told The Hindu that the party's efforts to seek a ban on slaughter of calves should not be viewed with a communal lens but keeping in mind the "interests of agrarian communities.

Beef banned in Maharashtra: Five years jail, Rs 10,000 for possession and sale
