The ultimate goal should be to carry parts of a bigger spaceship into orbit and assemble it in orbit. Carry all the equipment, fuel, food and have a spaceship in orbit that can travel in the solar system. Imagine how much can be done with it. Humans along with labs and equipment can be sent to other planets and moons.

Not really. The X-37B is maneuverable. it can change course on command. Anti-satellite weapons pretty much calculate exact interception points given a constant speed and direction of the target satellite. Having something randomly moving around is going to make an interception vastly harder. Remember satellites are flying at around 8km a second. Just a slight deviation can move the intercept point by a wide margin.

The adjustment in direction isn't going to help much unless the warhead has a very large explosion kill area. Just imagine somebody firing a rifle with a bullet that is zig zagging around randomly at 8km second. You then have a smart bullet that can also maneuver. You have to lead that rifle shot with your shot and your bullet has only one chance before it passes by it.

Laser weapon on most of the vehicle is also useless because it is covered it heat tiles to survive fiery high re-entry temperatures. It's difficult to burn through an unprotected missile 1km away nevermind one > 200km away and heat protected.

Yes, but only targets with predictable flight paths. Every time a spaceship docks with the spacestation that is basically an 8km per second interception. So that is nothing new. Now imagine the spacestation bouncing around in and out of view erratically.

The Hollywood movies showing missiles chasing after jets and when missing turn around and re-engage is a myth. It all lasts for only a few seconds. If it misses then that's it.

well it all depends on capability and luck,such spacecrafts cannot be made in mass numbers like fighter jets and ordinary drones as it is extremely costly with high maintenance costs so if one of them is lost it will have much bad impact on a country
