Every single person on this planet, man woman, child and the old is going to get infected.

You can't escape it (unless you move to the international space station for a few years maybe) and there aren't enough hospitals, beds, medical staff, equipment available to check and treat all 7.5 billion people at the same time.

The current world-wide policy is to allow everyone to be infected slowly (due to self-isolation) so its manageable.

Governments are just buying time to find a cure.
