The speaker talks about effects of hegemony without value judgement for most part. At the end though he criticizes individualism. The purpose is not to criticize western values but rather realization of the effects of hegemony by "colonized minds".
I thought of adding these images to demonstrate aesthetic hegemony of sorts. Mimicking or trying to look western. The speaker also posits that academically we are also aping the hegemon and hence the lack of creativity. The prove of this assertion is looking at the number of great Modern Philosophers or great Modern Scientists we have in our lands.
