Greetings,

I was deployed to Pakistan in 2005 I believe, there was a terrible earth quake and the US deployed a group to go help via a hospital etc. Anyway, apparently we were given a medal by the Pakistanis called something along the lines of "Bleeding heart of Pakistan" but I can't recall. Does anyone have any idea what that is, or if it is even real?

.
Well if you were active in helping the earthquake effected citizens a thank you is due but to answer the question the medal could have been, the 2005 were a very devastating time

Reference:
Decorations and Medals of Pakistan

What you may be referring to might be

Medal for Good Deeds (2005 Earthquake)
(Tamgha-e-Eissar) (2006) - Medal of Eissar - Medal of Sacrifice

or

Star for Good Deeds (2005 Earthquake)
(Sitara-e-Eissar) (2006) or Star of Eissar - Star of Sacrifice

Its stated that its offered to non Pakistani Nationals if they happen to do a great deed for benefit of Pakistan or its citizens

We'd like to thank you for your efforts during that fateful period. It happened almost a decade ago, yet it seems like yesterday.

Please post the pictures of that medal or award if you can. We can identify its correct title.
