ToI claims six, Outlook claims 4, and still no credible source on this.

The Outlook article admits that the names were likely fake, but if the names were fake, why automatically assume the ranks and status of these alleged 'officers' was not also fake?

If these individuals went to the length of concocting fake names, why would they offer real ranks and also bandy about the fact that they were 'currently serving'?

It all reeks of high drama and propaganda.

Lashkar members A, B, C and D are identified as Sajid Mir, Zakiur Rahman Lakhvi, Muzammil and Abu Hamza or Abu Al Qama, although not mentioned in the indictment for legal reasons according to TOI

It doesn't mention anything about Pakistani army officers, however "Pasha" apparently refers toa retired military officer who was arrested by GoP.

And just for completeness the actual FBI indictment as well. This shows that there are certainly concerted effort for vio9lent operations by Pakistani based groups like HUJI and LeT.
