I was thinking recently what is the point of China's war on a very small tiny minority group of people who are roughly 15M in total who live in a isolated corner of china.

Xinjiang pose zero threat to China and this has been the case for probably the last 1000 years. They have never attacked China because they were even lower minority before that.

So you have a group of a very small minority who are clearly not stupid and understand that nobody wins a war against giant china who stand 1.3 billion strong and someone has to be extremely retarded to even fancy that. The Xinjiang based people just want to live and have no political ambitions within china and always go overseas for such activities.

So I don't really see the point in China coming down on them? There is absolutely no logical reason for it whatsoever. It's like killing without reason or motives.

This puts China in a extremely bad light being aggressive against people who have historically never been aggressive against them nor pose any threat towards them.

The level of exaggeration in how the chinese gov't came down on this people lacks any common sense and lacks context, reasoning, planning and everything. This simple decision showcases incompetent ruling elite.

You identify first a threat then you take action but you don't go to places where there is no threat and exaggerate as if this was WW3 or doomsday setting up camps that is extremely exaggeration and it dosen't make sense to any person with intellect. I am actully pro-china but this one never made any intellectual sense to me. I tried to look at it from so many different aspects and angles but I couldn't find anything

I think there is no war going on in Xinjiang and I'm sure Chinese govt will dispel this false propaganda being spread by certain quarters of the western media by letting journalists, tourists and vloggers to visit the area and report the facts.

They even asked SISI of egypt to send back Uighurs who have left China 30-40 years ago under a new agreement to deport them and these people were just people who moved to a new country long time ago and China asked Egypt to send them back and SISI actully deported them back. I was baffled? thinking this people have migrated, settled down elsewhere long time ago, got kids and their kids grew up etc etc and China demand them all back even the 2nd generation uighur-egyptians.

That in itself is an unecessary move and extremely pointless. It's a road's dead end in logic

I agree the Uyghurs have never caused any issues in China, they have contributed positively to China’s development

They have lived peacefully for decades

Waging a war on 15 million people because of a few individuals will only damage China in the long term

Trying to get ride of a threat which doesn’t exist only ends worse for the oppressor

Now I will wait for naysayers that no camps have been built

without stability there is no development.
when there is massive development, the people in the region need to change the mind set and attitude.
they also need skill works to welcome the opportunities.
since Xinjiang is the gate door to CPEC and more, there is massive development going on, but also massive resistance from some group and Beijing want to put the resistance group down. development in region is the priority not the political correctness.

But the resistance group was barely a few 1000 people. Why are the 11m Uighur (most of which love China and serve in police, army) collectively punished?

They are prevented from leaving the country, forced mixed marriages, house inspections, ban on culture - the list goes on. It is a wrong approach to punish all the people just because of a few

they might left China, but their support for seperatis group still intact.
don't underestimated MSS. there is thing we don't know and don't publish on media.
but one thing is clear, Beijing don't make unnesessary move. everythink is calculated

Enjoy... There is a polemic after The biggest Arabic vlogger get into Xinjiang... Where Most Masjid are forbidden and closed... and so on.. like restriction on fasting ON THE STREET... beard restriction and such and the Police confiscating his Equipements... but he was able to get the footage out...He put side by side his 2011 travel there and 2019... so false propaganda to who i may ask... why this fear to acknowledge a wrong? is that so hard to do?

He was even unable to find few guys in his 2019 trip who were a ''bit'' critical about CN policy toward Muslims back in his trip in 2011...

You may not accept it so be it...but it doesn't make it false... even the most Pro-China member on this Forum who got recently banned( you know who it is) accepted and said it himself... but said he doesn't care...

As, I said... this is false propaganda and Chinese govt will debunk it by allowing rather inviting the journalists from all around the world to visit Xinjiang, talk to the people who are living happily under the fast growing economy of China. China is not like other oppressors rather it is modern and dynamic power..

Did you really believe what you wrote? or is a way to reinforce you belief on what is being done?
Even more when I know that you are highly educated and living in Sweden...
