I'll take a wild guess and say...Egypt?

That is because they do not have oil like Gulf. Arabs were hard working people once until they found the oil. Let the oil run out, they will not be lazy any more.

If we strike goldmine today, tomorrow we will be lazy too.

Because most of them "just" depend on oil. Also they are not investing their money but to spend it lavishly. Just look what they do. For example golden car.
