Happy Birthday! Confucius. The Father of All East Asian Cultures

. .
Wasnt all Confucuian ideals destroyed during the 60s under the Cultural Revolution
Confucuian ideals were under attack multiple times during the long history, but they only came back more stronger.

The only problem is that Koreans always believe they can represent Confucius better than China and always try to beat China in claiming those cultures are Korea's in Unesco, that caused a lot of hot debate between the Chinese and Koreans on the internet.

.
Islamic culture, Christian culture, Buddhist culture and Confucius culture largely shaped the world civilization, the first three are widely recognized globally, Confucius culture is relatively less prominent and understood cause it is only being practiced in East Asia and some part of South East Asia.

. .
China, China(Taiwan, Hong kong),Koreas, Japan, Vietnam, Singapore, one can clearly see same cultural roots doesn't always make good relations.., I think the same is true for other cultures.

Burned their books, students hanged teachers in public, not just Confucian but Buddhist and other traditional religions too. Mao was seen as kinda like a God (Just like today's Kim) and people were asked to report if anyone talks bad about Mao or criticize him. Which lead to a lot of arrests and later were led to face firing squad. There was cases were kids betraying their mother or father who were then arrested and shot dead.
The student communists called Red Guards were instrumental during the cultural revolution i.e the destroying of statues, books etc... (Also known as attacking the four old's) anyway they later turned against Mao and was disbanded.

. .
Alot of their culture was too. For them it's nice to dress like westerners and talk like westerners.

Well that's their decision the Turks did the same in 1920s and 30s their country their rules

You don't have to remind me that again it was meerly in response to Mao"s failed economic policies in late 1950s in fact the whole anarchy bought him back in power during the 1960s

. . .
Mao suit? Almost no one except for top government leaders wears Mao suit now.
No I'm taking about the traditional Chinese clothing. Why dont people wear them anymore?

Also Chinese architecture, that was my favorite type of architecture but it's long gone. The old buildings were razed and the new ones dont have any traces of the old architecture

Still sad, it just makes the people more confused.

Chinese started to wear modern clothing after the fall of Qing dynasty a century ago, Japanese an Koreans may start doing that a bit earlier, most countries in this world do the name, it's not unique in China and east Asian, tradtional clothing are not convenient and comfortable to wear, still I see how wear when visit historic sites and special occasions in Beijing. Keep in mind China just did most countries did in the world, it's nothing weird.

What told you Chinese architecture is long gone? Many being built and rebuilt every year, many parks, gardens , residential houses are built every day using Chinese tradtional architecture. Here is one of so many examples, the rebuild of the old summer palace, 30 billion yuan cost (4.5 billion USD)

Still sad, it just makes the people more confused.
It makes you confused, maybe, we Chinese are not confused.

Why would it make me confused lmao
You Chinese and all those that toss their culture and traditions are all confused and that includes the Chinese.

The clothing was not convenient? Who did the country get to one of the most civilised nations on earth at the time by wearing clothing that wasnt "convenient". All your arguments lack merit and any common sense

Whatever you say, but we Chinese know us better than you do, if I claim I know Pakistan better than Pakistanis, I doubt anyone would believe me, same logic goes to your claim of our culture and clothing.
