For the edification of other PDF readers: this picture is of a son of the infamous Tamimi family which repeatedly goads its children into assaulting and attacking soldiers while filming the incidents, circulating out-of-context stills and clips for the pleasure of Israel-haters. You might recall that one of their daughters plea-bargained a conviction and was sentenced to a short jail term a month or two ago: when she reached the age of 16 she was considered adult enough to be charged.

(If the Tamimis were in Pakistan and assaulted Pakistani soldiers that way, would there even BE a second time?)

It's a random person and they must have threatened to send him to jail in Israel or tortured him during the process. Looks like they are trying to anything to save face after the massacre. It is very gimmicky , however.

You need to understand Arab world is different than say Western world on a societal level. So being affiliated with Hamas in the Arab world means something like simply being a supporter. That's how people consider these matters in the Arab world whereas in the West you need to have some legal or official membership of some sort. Hamas's armed wing is small in proportion to population in Gaza. So it's unlikely he's part of that. They did make him say that in exchange for allowing him to return or something, obviously that's not voluntary.
