Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan is heard saying “Hamaara Sidhu kidhar hai” while enquiring about the coming of former cricketer and Punjab MLA Navjot Singh Sidhu at the Kartarpur Corridor opening on Saturday.

Imran Khan, who arrived in a shuttle bus for the corridor opening, is heard asking other officials in the video “Accha hamaara woh Sidhu kidhar hai, me keh raha hu hamaara Sidhu”.

The Pakistan prime minister is also heard asking “Manmohan aa gya”, referring to former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

A woman official is heard in the video saying if Sidhu isn’t allowed to come it would send a negative message for them and Khan says “usko aur hero banayege” and the woman says “woh saare channels ki headline hogi”.

Sidhu had on Saturday thanked the prime ministers of India and Pakistan for the historic move.

During his address at the inauguration ceremony of the Kartarpur Corridor, Sidhu said no one can deny “my friend” Imran Khan’s contribution in making the opening of the corridor possible.

“Imran Khan has made history,” he said.

Calling Khan the king of hearts, Sidhu said, “Sikandar (Alexander) had won the world with fear and you won the heart all over the world.”

Former Indian cricketer-turned-politician thanked the former Pakistani cricket captain for taking the bold step to build the Kartarpur corridor “without looking at gains or losses”.

Former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh led the first delegation of Sikh pilgrims as they entered Pakistan through the Kartarpur corridor. Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh was also part of the ‘jatha’ while Sidhu was the chief guest at the opening ceremony in Pakistan as he was invited by Imran Khan.

The 9 km corridor links Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Pakistan, Guru Nanak Dev’s birth place and the final resting place, to Dera Baba Nanak shrine in Punjab’s Gurdaspur district.

. . .
If they watch the video, Imran khan noticed his casualness of saying “Our Sidhu” and quickly corrected himself. But we know the Indian media just needs a juicy sound bite to run for the next few weeks to undermine any efforts not lead by Modi.

let them fixate on this while Pakistan moves on to the next efforts. As they stick to this story they let Pakistan hold the ball in its court. Pakistan should take the intimate while India is obsessing about this and move ahead with its own efforts such as standing up for the Kashmiris as the truth starts to come out. German chancellor’s statement stands next to Modi of the situation in Kashmir is “Not sustainable” means we need to keep the pressure up and keep Exposing what the Indians are doing there. We can’t let the world turn away and not act.

let the Indians think about Sidhu why the world gets reminded about Kashmir.

Sidhu destroyed his political career with his tamasha. Now nobody wants him, neither BJP nor congress.

Imran understands the concept of defeating them with kindness. Its more powerful than fear and longer lasting. Tolerance, empathy and compassion are the most powerful tools of the universe.

You spend your life doing acts of selfless kindness and you will leave a lasting legacy for enternity.Love is what connects us to God not fear of God. Practice life like this then you automatically become closer to God, no fake begging for forgiveness needed.

He has done something nobody could do for the last 70 years. And you are curious about his political career.
Ask your sikh friends, how much they are happy about Kartarpur?

My Sikh friends are certainly happy visiting Kartarpur, but you need two hands to clap.

Siddhu has done nothing other than be a monkey who jumps from place to place. He used to be in BJP, thought of becoming CM of Punjab so he jumped to Congress landed only a cabinet position. Then he went on and on with his drama in Pakistan, Congress in fear of loosing support among Sikhs, kicked him out.

As for the extra ordinary stuff he did, Indian PM ABV while in office, took a bus trip to Lahore with your PM hoping to solve Kashmir issue, and almost achieved a deal only to be messed up later during Kargil. In comparison Siddhu? Hugged Pak General, Hugged Imran, made some hot air speech praising imran, and Pakistanis appointed Siddhu as Indian PM in their minds.

He may have just made it aka his political career & relevance..apparently got a hero's welcome back to India in his community

Edit: Okay, wanted to quote the conversation. This post/comment is in response to discussion above.

haha a few hundred Siddhu fans is all you have?

Punjab politics is much complicated than that, in the pecking order, Siddhu comes much below. But again, he's a star for Pakistan, I'd rather let you keep believing Siddhu has the sway. :)

He’s welcome to come to Pakistan.

Would definitely vote for him if he ran for an MPA/MNA seat from my constituency.
