A Muslim search engine that blocks forbidden content “according to Islamic law” was launched today, a press release stated
‘Halalgoogling’ fetches results from leading search engines such as Google and Bing and has a built-in “advanced special filtering system that blocks Haram content according to the Law of Islam”, the press release said.

According to the report, a team of ‘internet experts’ all around the world had been working for years on the project. The need for such a search engine arose with 1.5 billion Muslims around the world worrying about the content provided over the internet to their children and even themselves.

The system is being updated continuously, and has been designed to respect Muslim culture, the report stated. The new search engine hopes to be the number one search engine in the Muslim community, it added.

Atleast they did something! But make things that are not only limited to Muslims! Make it for whole humanity to benefit from. Small thinking! Small minded people!

A good idea but why have they called it "HalalGoogling"? They should've come up with a unique name. Copycat ideas usually fail as they're always living under the shadow of the original.

So basically its just a wraper on the top of same search platforms and not a real search engine. It seems like they are trying to cash the religion thing for popularity.

. .
Stupid idea.
What's the point in trying?

Those that want to search less halal things, will do as they do, and those that are devout Muslims wont.
So what's the point of this? Other than to further embarrass us.

 good question. They must have the plans to launch halal browser to overcome this limitation :omghaha:

haan bhai har cheez ko halal kar do..

.
Brilliant. Now someone will sit and decide what is allowed to be browsed. Wasn't all this the role of government?

Ya, it's just a search engine, not the "only" search engine. What's there to stop someone from going to google for the "non-halal" things ? Nothing? Yup, you are right, this is just a stupid idea to give more ammunition for people to mock Muslims.
