I am not surprised by this news its very common now every Indian project is facing delays, problems and uncertain future.
This plane is beautiful though.

Want to see HAL report to BIFR as sick company.Utter fustration.Antony busy with coalgate does HAL boss answerable to anyone.Not comparing,out of 27 boeing 787 dreamliner Air India have to pay for only 24 due to delay in delivery also Boeing is compensating AI as initial Dreamliners are 5% less fuel efficient as claimed by Boeing.Again dont want to compare HAL with Boeing.But the culture,siprit to turn back things....

To be fair the PC-7Mk.II deal, introduction of ever incresing numbers of HAWKS and the rapid increase in the number of simulators in IAF service has made the IJT program's delays less acute and the impct on the force significanlty less. The IJT is now the missing peice to complete the jigsaw and make the IAF's training regime up there with the best in the world. IJT induction by 2015 is not bad IMHO.

India should stop wasting its tax payer's money on projects that are way over its head. As it has the options, it should focus on purchasing the things it need from foreign sources instead of reinventing wheel.
