HAL LCH Completes Sea-Level Trails - Speeds Towards September IOC Target - TD-4 To Takeoff Soon

Bro,can you please post the quad pack pic of Rudra.I mean, the last time you posted it,the pic wasn't visible to me:(

Here u go bro:

Both stations are identical. That load-out is only to demonstrate variety.
So,it means that our own Rudra can carry a total of 16 LAHAT quad packed missiles on a single mission:yahoo:!!Thanks a lot sir for this invaluable piece of info:).Then i assume that the LCH will also be able to do the same thing maybe even with the HELINA ones:rolleyes:

Rudra can carry the same weapons on wing stations as can LCH.
I'm not sure if HELINA is in the same wight category as LAHAT.

Bro,one more question if you don't mind. Are both the inner pylons capable to carry a quad pack of LAHAT or is it only confined to the outer ones??

I don't think both stations are identical, atleast in LCH's case. The inner pylons are rated to carry more than the outer ones I guess. LAHAT is a lighter missile compared to HELINA (13 Kg v/s 42 Kg for Nag). Given the lightness of LAHAT,it would be possible to carry 16 LAHATs but,the same must not be expected with HELINAs.

Ref: the underlined part; it will be incorrect to make assumptions without having factual information. That Stub Wing on the LCH is in no way indicative of the weight restrictions of the stations. For all you know that is just a streamlined fairing over the mounting arrangement of the Rudra. Logically though, I see little reason to make a weight differential between the outside and inside stations; considering that it is a limited span and choppers fly at lower speeds than fixed wing a/c thus have less aerodynamic stress issues which impact load-out limits on different stations, among other issues.

Here,Project directer says LCH and Rudra can carry 4 Helina on each side. I guess its settled then :-)

I don't have any factual info with me bro, but all the pics available so far indicate that LCH will not be carrying 16 HELINAs from which I reached to the assumption that there is a loading limitation.

We do have pics of LCH with four rocket pods, the UB 32 type rocket pods used in Mils weigh some 96 Kgs, and I believe the ones used in LCH are lighter. Anyway, I'll be happy to see LCH carrying 16 HELINAs, but I don't think I'll see that.

Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

Neither do I believe that 16 HELINAS can be carried, nor did I say that. I said earlier that the HELINA may not be in the same weight category as LAHAT. I am going only by the pictures, where the HELINA looks larger and heavier than LAHAT; I do not have information on the weights. Hence my post was accordingly written, in reply to somebody else above.

Doesn't it mean there is a considerable difference in the weight ratings of the two pylons?

Ys,pic says like that.by the way LCH will carry lahat or DRDO missile?I mean any plan for helicopter compatible cannon launched guided missile.
