It still highlights the generally “unreliable” nature of such leaks(which pre internet were in places like aviation week and other magazines) except now they are compounded by the internet’s rapid dissemination.

The Azm is a great example - there are 5th generation fighters, UAVs, AESA radars, weapons all under Azm but the term and any updates refers to all or one of them.

To be fair, not a lot of folks within the PAF understood what H-2 and H-4 were. This was a closely guarded secret until basically 2019, when we decided to use it.

A huge part of it was deliberate misinformation as well. There's still a lot of stuff that PAF does offensively and defensively that not a lot of people know or talk about. You have to keep in mind that it's only now that OSINT is suddenly seeing a lot of talent from our end (Pakistanis) else most of the info junkies have been just fanboys looking for bits and pieces of information with no real background knowledge. Which made it a lot easier for folks in the PAF to just push bad info out.
