GUJRAT (Dunya News) – In an act of revenge for supposedly high prices, a policeman led the cattle of an trader to railway tracks and released them, killing up to 50 of them as they were trampled underneath a train, reported Dunya News.

A police constable in Sasta Bazaar near Service Mor of Gujrat got angry with an owner of cattle over ‘high prices’ and led his cattle onto a train track. 50 of the cattle were killed while as many as 30 were injured.

Traders have blocked the road and begun strike yet no action has been taken against police constable Shabbir for the unjust action he took.

As per AAJ News TV channel the figure of shahadat has risen to 70 goats. It is such a sad event, I also heard that 4 police officers have been suspended in regards to this unfortunate incident but I am not sure. Upon searching I found this news of 50 deaths so far... RIP

This is disgusting!

Retarded!

The policemen should not only pay the poor guy but also be slaughtered in the same manner!

That was 1/3 of each animal for the poor!

. . .
How did he just "lead" 50 goats to the track? There's something a miss in this story, however a thorough investigation is in order and if the policeman is found guilty than he must be charged with abuse of authority, dismissed from service and made to compensate the cattle trader for his loss with damages.
As for the unnecessary suffering the animals faced, I am not sure we can gauge that and translate that into any monetary value.

. .
First private school fees, now this.....Socialism is in their blood......

.
The story makes no sense...... one man leading 50 goats to a track....... now how is that possible? Even if this case goes to the courts, it will be quashed in no time. Law is a bitch, you just need to create ONE doubt and it won't survive one hearing.

Prob let go of the goats and they crossed and train squashed some...God knows how many he released to their death and how many got squashed :(

So he apparently released a herd of unknown number out of which about 50 got killed and 30 injured...This is beyond disgusting!

.
This policeman should pay penalty, and all amount to this poor cattler. Enough badmashi of police! Enough is enough

basically I live just 10 minutes drive from this area where this incident happened, my sources said they were selling goats near the railway track and the policeman after arguing with the owners opened the rope the goats were tied with... and unfortunately at the same time there was a cargo-train coming on the track. This is open-field railway track with no security/fence around the track so the goats started walking on to track before getting hit by the train.

I think he must have beaten one or two goat so they all started running probably... from what I heard, he wasn't intending the goats be killed on the track, it was a mere unfortunate incidence

Another version of the story is, they were selling animal at forbidden place as multiple selling-zones have been created in the city for Eid-ul-Adha which excludes this area so the policemen asked them to vacate the area and upon arguments they opened the rope leading to mishap similar to above version of the story.

intention or not, the loss of the poor people is not something to take literally.....It is this behaviour that has made our country poor and now individuals are being dragged at the same pace :(

of course I am in favour of suspending him and make him compensate for the wrong he has done to the poor people.

I heard 4 police officers were suspended after the incident...

.
