Yonca Onuk invests 60 Million in his yard, enlarges from 12 thousand m2 to 30 thousand m2.

They work on projects called MRTP 44 and MRTP 65, with huge firepower to counter the threads of the future.
The high speed attack boats will be very agile and capable to fight a 4000 ton frigate.

Today Yonca-Onuk is in the process of developing the missile-capable ONUK MRTP44 (47m, 50+ knots) planned to be launched by 2013. The advanced composites ONUK MRTP44 would be a “pocket corvette” with speed, sea-keeping, weapons and systems that would make shy a corvette.

These boats probably will replace Kartal class. I hope that these boats will be like Skjold class or MRTP 45.

Umoe Mandal AS declared to be ready tech transfer for surface effect crafts. Probably they are working with Istanbul Shipyard in this tender. Skjold class boats have 69+ mph speed in calm sea.

I read your interesting document cruise range at 42 kts is 1420 nm.
But FMC 69 design of RMK has only 800 nm cruise range at only 20 kts.

In both designs go RMK design Cafrad is integrated. It seems that we discuss two different tenders.

One could be called Micro-Corvet with long cruise range, the other typical FAC with short cruise range for littoral warfare.

8 Kartal missile has to replace and were phased out.

I believe Akinci is right. There are two tenders.
