Gravitas: Nearly 8,00,000 Indians could be forced to leave Kuwait

.
That bill was passed more than 1.5 year ago.
There does not seem to have been a noticeable impact.
You cannot create thousands of doctors engineers skilled and qualified labour over night.
It will take decades and that skilled force will move to other countries or India.
Its ONLY 800,000. The daily churn in labour in India is far far more than that.

This news is over a year old. It is practically impossible to implement this in Kuwait.
Most locals working for the government sector don't really work and just go to the office for attendance and come back in the afternoon to clock out. I've seen a water distribution plant operation that has 40 local people working each shift (8hrs) or 120 people for 24hrs for work that is done by 3 expat technicians. The locals usually are either sleeping or are on their PlayStations.

Moreover the government gives them a fixed salary every month regardless if you work or not. In most cases this "government allowance" itself is more than the salaries of most expats.

Its a very boring country and there is nothing to spend money on. It doesn't even have an outdoor theme park. Just 2 hours of continuous rain and the whole country is flooded. Most of the locals travel to Bahrain for entertainment during holidays. Unfortunately for me I was assigned by my employer for a project in this country. I can't wait to gtfo of here.
