It is beautiful to see the commemoration of great spiritual leaders who, unlike the fakesters of today, meant to genuinely bring sustainability, peace and happiness among all. More importantly, bring a sense of righteousness among people.

Guru ji, is honoured in my family (my wife is Punjabi) and is honoured by all of us equally. He did not stand for any one section or race of people but conveyed great spiritual message to all the people. Everyone loved and respected his words which always stood for truth, equality justice and peaceful coexistence.

India today, more than ever, needs a Guru as Guru Nanak Dev ji.

My sincere respects to him.

The life of Guru Nanak Dev teaches us love and harmony. He gave us the mantra of ‘Ek Omkar Satnam’, which means that there is only One God.

While emphasising values of love, peace and compassion, Guru Nanak Dev equated service to humanity with service to God. His preachings such as “Vand Chako – sharing with others, Kirat Karo – making an honest living and, Naam Japo- Remembering God at all times” capture the essence of his message.

Let us resolve to follow the path shown by Guru Nanak Dev and work for the welfare of the society”.
