Ever since the 1980s and 1990s we been hearing about the rise of Globalization that one day all borders will render extinct, the world would be grouped into inter-regional blocks, goods would have easy access to all markets, and mass immigration of all people now since the 2010s we are seeing a pushback in Europe with the rise of Right wing factions, America with Trump, In Asia populism and nationalism have also boomed as well so do you guys still believe in globalization or for nationalism thoughts??

For me that is like asking what do you believe in 'community or family'? The truth is it's a balance between both. You need space for family to take refuge in but not so exclusive that it becomes isolated from the wider community. There has to be balance.

Do you favor a restriction on mass immigration and lessen focus of free trade

Globalization is the way to go. It has to be done in a phased measured manner.

The EU integration would have worked if East European states were granted limited rights and brought it into European community gradually over a few decades. Admission of Middle Eastern and African refugees does not help

You need to learn to crawl before you can walk

Yes. Migration should be restricted. We all must respect everybodies countries. Each is home of a people. We would not want Pakistan flooded by millions of Afros. Ditto for Europe, USA etc.

However free trade is a must for global peace and prosperity.

I prefer nationalism due to the simple fact that globalization is never irreversible. Nationalism on the other hand always offers you the certainty that every mistake you do - no matter how big it is - won't lead into your total disappearance. Some countries even use their past mistakes to build a new identity, e.g. Germans.

Globalization all the way. Nationalism was necessary in the past and still to a certain degree is necessary today. However, our future is not even limited to the same planet, let alone some imaginary lines.

I am for a multi-polar world with different cultures and nations possessing the right to self-determination.

I am neither for globalization nor for nationalism, although the latter certainly can come in handy during times of national emergency and for short term periods but definitely not for prolonged periods of time.

But currently globalization is certainly making inroads in every book and cranny of every country and region of this earth. Is it good or bad depends on the people you ask.

But if you are a religious or social conservative or traditionalist of any kind then you are in for bad news because globalization is the vanguard for "modern" "progressive" culture. For example, "twerking" is a dance that is now popular with many young kids, especially girls, but this spread with social media and other similar trends have also made their impact, another example being Kiki by Drake.

But globalization is also closing distances between peoples who live miles apart and in a way is leading to a single global monoculture of material consumerism.

Whether if it's good or bad will vary depending on who you ask. Personally I'm not a fan of globalization and I think technology should be restricted to limited uses rather than become a source of addiction for people to satisfy their base urges and impulses on a continuous basis which it has become and you have these multibillionaires who own these social media companies who have basically made billions of people hostages to consumerism and social media.

I agree with everything in your post but this part.

Well I honestly don't think the Germans are the ones remaking their identity. I'll just leave it at that.
I understand your point but it doesn't change the reality in Germany. The Holocaust is part of the new German identity. Of course, there are people who don't embrace this part of their history, but yet, those Germans are clearly a minority within their own society.

All thanks to ((Multiculturalism)) and ((Guilt Trip)) mentality

Multipolar world and regionalism is better than the Global complex being pushed right now I to be honest kinda wished at times the USSR did not leave yes it was crap and the evil communism bought to Russians, Caucausians, Central Asians, Eastern Europeans and their constant prop up of dicatorships from Latin America to Africa and Asia but the Cold War did prevent a lot the constant "modern western crap culture" from being exported all over the world starting after 1991 you had the rise of sat and cable tv all over then the internet came and pushed further crap to younger folks I do believe in borders and limited forms of immigration
