Islamabad, Jan. 15: In response to the Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's New Year greetings to Pakistan, the Pak PM has also sent good wishes to India, The Dawn reported.

"May the New Year bring peace to our region, and progress, and prosperity to our people," the New Year message from the Pakistani Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani said.

Gilani thanked Manmohan Singh for his gesture and said, "The leadership and people of Pakistan desire friendly and co-operative relationship with India."

The exchange of pleasantries between the leadership of the two countries is seen as a positive move amidst escalating tension, even as the thaw in the relationship between the two neighbouring countries continues. (ANI)

Smart, very smart, Pakistan has done very well, we should be proud, even though i'm not glad with all the threats we received and how we acted upon them at times, it still was wise to stay calm and let India end her rant so we can continue with a dialogue.

Now our Fake Pak-Indo relationship will go on

What would be the best solution for our people and for the Indian people, you must first ask yourself.
No ties or relations whatsoever and forever an agressive stance towards eachother? Or a love and hate relationship which we have always maintained throughout our existance with India.
How about a good old Cricket ODI against India, a full packed stadium in Karachi or in Delhi with Pakistani and Indian flags waving next to eachother?
I used to see these footages on TV when Pakistan faced India in a worldcup.
That's the way it should be, our own nations, but living as respectful neighbours next to eachother, this can only improve our economy which gradually improves life standards for both Pakistanis and Indians because the emphasis wouldn't be that much on Defence as compared to the past, both nations get a "breather" and can invest much more in their own people and economies.
However, with Indias growing ambitions as a worldpower, she wants to flex her military muscles, and unfortunately, Pakistan will feel the heat too due to that, so we must not stay behind and counter them at all cost in terms of quality while still trying to maintain a booming economy like we had some years ago with good growth.

Still, time will tell, and one must always remain optimistic. :tup:

Oye meray sardar bhai;
