The Irony is that... Apollo...is the continuation of an Anatolian God...
Well Markus does admit that Italians have 50% DNA from Troy in Turkey.
But he see's himself white and european for some odd reason.
Maybe he thinks Turks in Turkey today are 100% Mongols.
We call ourselves Turks it's like saying you're from the USA, but much more mixed over a longer period.
So if you move to Turkey and start saying you are Turk we will accept you as a real Turk.
The only ones that will raise some eyebrows are blacks and extreme asians, we don't have many of those here so they won't fit in like a Turk. Otherwise we got everything from scandinavian looking to ME looking people, pretty mixed DNA.
You can go to one village and see just blondes with blue eyes, then go to another village and see darker skin tone and only dark hair.
Being a Turk is not about ethnicity/race it's about loyalty to the country and it's people and we know that most Turks know our traditions and culture.
I'd say it's mostly values, in Turkey we never talk about the females in an unrespectful way.
For example if I have a turkish friend and he has a sister or wife, I would never ever tell him: "she looks hot".
People just know where the red line is here and respect it very well.
In many countries they don't have these values, not as strict as we do. Especially in the west, they can go drink alcohol with a friends "wife" or "sister" and such.
Not long ago I met a guy traveling for business from the UK, he told me my girlfriend was "very very beautiful", I told him to not talk about private manners and walked away. We were having some alcohol at a hotel bar, but still somethings you can't do.
Blabla I write too much.
